Grass-fed organically raised beef tallow provides a deeply emollient base, while apricot kernel, jojoba, and castor oils are readily absorbed, softening and smoothing without a greasy feel. Vitamin E offers antioxidant support, and a gentle blend of essential oils, frankincense, helichrysum and lavender impart a subtle, calming aroma ideal for facial care or targeted soothing of delicate areas.

Vitamin E provides antioxidant protection, and an uplifting blend of sandalwood, frankincense, sweet orange, geranium, helichrysum and lavender essential oils imparts a softly complex aroma that’s perfect for daily facial nourishment, dry or itchy skin, and inflammation. Note About Calendula
The bright golden petals are rich in skin-loving compounds that make calendula one of the most beloved herbs for natural skincare, soothing balms, healing salves, and gentle first-aid preparations.
Calendula oil benefits your skin like few herbal oils can. It is soothing, moisturizing, calming, and helpful for many everyday skin concerns, including dryness, redness, rashes, sunburn, bug bites, fungal concerns, and minor wounds.
Calendula is gentle enough for many sensitive skin applications, yet powerful enough to earn a permanent place in your natural medicine cabinet.
Each spring we plant around 100 calendula plants and then every day throughout the summer we harvest the beautiful flowers and dry them. We put the dried flowers in jars and fill with a organic apricot kernel oil. After three months we use the oil in the tallow creams and balms.

Note About Arnica Montana
Arnica, scientifically known as Arnica montana, has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antimicrobial, antioxidant and anticoagulant properties. They are derived from the flavonoids and phenolic compounds naturally found in the arnica plant. It can be used to treat health conditions, such as bruises, rheumatic pain, abrasions and muscle pain. Arnica grows wild here in Montana. Jana and Jenny both enjoy harvesting it in early June. Then it is dried and infused in oil that is used in our balms and creams.
